TEIN EDFC

Tein EDFC - Electronically control the damping force of your Tein Suspension System from inside the car! Up to 3 memory presets are allowed, enabling front and rear to be adjusted on the fly!

TEIN EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force by controlling a motor installed in the shock absorber while being seated in the driver's seat. Since the damping force can be manually controlled with ease to meet different situations, the driver can enjoy variations in the suspension setting.

The new black EDFC has the following changes compared with the silver EDFC. The controller control program has been re-configured to suit newly designed motor. (No change in operation) and the outer EDFC controller color has been changed from silver to black (black resin without paint). The stepping motor for the TEIN black EDFC has changed from 45MM to 35MM and a new rubber cover for full enclosure. Black EDFC downsized watertight connector from 45.3x22.7mm to 30.5x11.6mm. The harness comes with new connectors (see above) and longer cable for the rear suspension for easier and better wiring capability (3800MM to 4600MM), therefore extension cable kit is discontinued.

With this TEIN EDFC Strut Kit, motor does not need to be detached to avoid cable tangling when adjusting ride height. Strut Kit is not required for EDFC motor installation onto bottom part of inverted strut type.

Note:
- Old motor can NOT be used with new controller. Old controller can not be used with new motor.
- TEIN MONO FLEX & COMFORT SPORT dampers are only compatible with new black EDFC.
